FORMULATION
Each uncoated tablet contains: S (-) Amlodipine Besilate equivalent to S (-) Amlodipine 5.0mg.
INDICATION
Management of essential hypertension and angina pectoris.
DRUG INTERACTIONS
8 blockers & digoxin. Should not be taken with isoprinoline & dopamine.
DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION
Hypertension: 5-10 mg daily. Max: 10mg. Patients with hepatic insufficiency 2.5 mg once daily.
CONTRAINDICATION
Hypersensitivity to dihydropyridine derivatives. Pregnancy.
SPECIAL PRECAUTIONS
Patients with severe aortic stenosis & hepatic failure.
ADVERSE EFFECTS
Headache, peripheral edema, skin erythema, fatigue, somnolence, nausea, abdominal pain, flushing, palpitations & dizziness.
